Privacy Policy
Effective date: 9 November 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information is collected when you visit nicole-winters.com (the "Site") or buy The Garden of Eve (the "Book"), how it is used, and the choices you have. The Site and the Book are offered under the name Nicole Winters ("we", "us", "our").
1. Information we collect
- When you buy the Book. Checkout is handled by Whop. Whop collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details to process your payment, calculate tax and deliver the Book. We receive your name, email address and order details from Whop. We never receive or store your full card details.
- When you email us. We receive your email address and whatever you choose to write to us.
- When you visit the Site. The Site has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no advertising or analytics trackers. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the Site and keep it secure. The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
- Free edition downloads. Downloading the free edition does not require any personal information.
2. How we use your information
- to process your purchase and deliver the Book;
- to provide customer support and handle refund requests;
- to send transactional emails about your purchase (sent by Whop);
- to prevent fraud and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not send marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
3. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only share it with service providers that help us run the Site and sell the Book:
- Whop (payments, tax, delivery and customer emails);
- Cloudflare (website hosting, security and email forwarding);
- Google (web fonts).
We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
4. How long we keep it
We keep purchase records as long as needed to provide the Book, handle support, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, which is typically up to 7 years. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to help you.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing (we do neither). These rights include those under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), other US state privacy laws, and the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
To make a request, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days, or within the time limit your law requires. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
For EU and UK visitors, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (your purchase), our legitimate interests (running and securing the Site), and our legal obligations (tax and accounting).
6. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, they use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable measures to protect your information, but no online service can be 100% secure.
8. Children
The Site and the Book are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
